A path of expansion filled with immense beauty continues to be my guiding inspiration to explore and share healing work. I believe healing work, be it massage, energy work, acupuncture, shiatsu or any other to be a combination of many things.
Some aspects are brought to the session by the person “doing” the work and some are brought to the session by the person “receiving” the work. I have come to realize that both parties are equally active in any healing that occurs. An agreement has been made that one person is the “healer” and another is the “healy”, but really both parties are healers. Never thought of yourself as a healer? You are. If you are here, you have the ability to create, heal, and move in the direction of your choosing.

Sometimes we just need another person to facilitate, or hold the space for the blossoming growth and expansion that is the very nature of all human beings, especially in this time on our planet of new energy emergence. We need someone to observe the divine perfection that we are and mirror it back in a way that it can be seen. This becomes the space of healing, whether it is physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. Every session is a sacred culmination of both healers’ personal experiences, joys, sorrows, potentials and beingness.

This wondrous journey began for me a decade or so ago when in my early twenties I left a corporate job to pursue the dream to be of service in the health field. Health did not necessarily mean “healing” to me. What was I thinking? I was soon to learn that facilitation of health for others would lead me on my own path of self discovery, growth and wisdom.
Early years of my massage practice held little if any spiritual resonance. Addressing client’s physical pains from a one dimensional perspective was the only focus. As time progressed I began to sense the root of many if not all injury, illness and disharmony lie in a realm yet unfamiliar to me. In perfect synchronistic harmony spiritual teachers, books, and guides of several disciplines arrived to mentor me as I embarked on a journey to awakening that I continue today.

While one brilliant and gifted woman by the name of Phyllis shared great wisdom and shed light on many quandaries for me, Andrew Shier, a wonderful being and teacher shared with me the profound energy healing modality of Attunement.

Both of these people showed great patience and love to me in the service of teaching and sharing the expansiveness of reality. I felt for the first time with my hands that which I had always sensed with my heart as I learned about the human energy field and began to make sense of “as above so below”.

I continued to study all I could about healing and expansion of consciousness, which inevitably led me on a journey of my own healing. A solo mission to discover the answer to many of life’s deepest mysteries took me to Europe for the summer of 2003. Who am I? What is my greatest joy? How do I release old energy in order to see with clarity? How do I best serve Mother Earth in this transition? How do I share these compelling ideas and experiences with others?

In a sojourn that can in every way be described as mystical I was introduced to a new way of being in the world. Backpacking 500 miles across northern Spain on a pilgrimage traversed by fellow spiritual seekers Paulo Coelho and Shirley MacLaine was my choice for confronting fears and that which I perceived as personal weakness.

El Camino de Santiago, a path that follows ley lines of the Milky Way, traverses mountain ranges, meanders through dozens of villages and cities and thousands of miles from anyone or anything familiar to me turned out to be a perfect backdrop for exploring my inner terrain. I also found it to be profoundly challenging in every way. Soul stirring shifts in my reality were the result of this time in the void. Weakness became understood as strengths and fears dissipated in the knowingness that I am a creator, a student and a teacher. Sometimes I’m nothing at all, and this formless place is divine perfection as well. These and other insights led me to start Willow Creek Wellness as a place of sharing the positive expansiveness I had come to cherish.

Returning home at the end of that summer I was unchanged on the outside, although something inside me had crossed onto a new trajectory. I became aware of new energy, of new beingness so wondrous it left me in awe. My experience of the new energy cannot even be explained as an experience, but as more of a “coming home”. I had become passionately devoted to the spiritual awakening of myself and humanity.

Since that time I have continued to cross paths with many many exceptional healers, mystics, and angels disguised as ordinary people. I share this story with you in hopes of inspiring your desire to fulfill the purpose of your choosing in this new energy. I gently urge you to follow your passion, to acknowledge your creatorship of new energy, and to experience the very essence of your divinity. Then I invite you to simply be, which is my own greatest inspiration.
